Piles / Haemorrhoids treatment
In Ayurveda piles is called "Arsha". It means like enemy. Piles are like enemy which hurts us so much and disturbed our daily routine. Piles are swollen and inflamed veins in the anus. Lump outside or inside the anus is common symptoms of piles. They are common and can affect people of any age.
There are two types of piles- internal and external.
Internal Piles – swelling inside the internal anal sphincter, located inside the rectum, usually painless, may cause bleeding during bowel movements, it may be of 4 grades based on size and position.- First grade - lump inside the anus a bit higher than anal opening and can be found only on examination by doctor
- Second grade – size get enlarged and comes down to the anal opening, you may feel discomfort inside the anus
- Third grade - lump comes out of anus during defecation; initially lump goes inside itself after defecation and later it has to push inside with finger
- Fourth grade - enlarged lumps remain outside the anus, often bleed
External piles – located under the skin around the anus, can be painful, may cause swelling, itching and discomfort
